Maribyrnong City Council is now accepting applications from organisations looking to present festivals in the City of Maribyrnong between October 2021 and June 2022 (inclusive). program. A Smart City refers to the use of digital technology to collect data that can be used to manage assets and resources efficiently. Smart Cities can help create more liveable cities, without compromising the well-being and privacy of their citizens. They are innovative in their use of digital solutions to manage services and infrastructure effectively, improve the wellbeing of the community and the environment, and support a vibrant local economy. Small Business Digital Adaption Program - Cash Rebates Available | |
The Small Business Digital Adaption Program offers up to $1200 in rebates to help small businesses pay for a range of digital business tools. The Victorian Government has partnered with 14 suppliers to help you build or upgrade your website, improve cash flow, start online marketing, manage your jobs and projects and keep better track of stock. |
Jobs Victoria services and wage subsidies for Victorian employers | |
The Jobs Victoria Fund is providing $250 million in wage subsidies to help businesses with the aim of supporting at least 10,000 jobs. Businesses may be eligible for a subsidy of up to $20,000 to employ someone affected by the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Employers can register their business on the Jobs Victoria online hub. They can post jobs and connect with people looking for work. The service is free to use and provides a shortlist of candidates with the skills and experience they’re looking for. Jobs Victoria Advocates are also helping connect jobseekers with the right services, training and support. Jobs Victoria Careers Counsellors will provide personalised guidance to find work, while Jobs Victoria Mentors will work closely with those who need extra support to get them ready for work. |
Density quotient restrictions ease for more businesses | |
The Victorian Government has announced that from 28 May density quotients of one person per two square metres will be lifted for small to medium sized venues across the state. This means more people will be able to fit into smaller spaces and should be good news for dining establishments as we head into the colder months. |
Changes to QR code requirements | |
The Victorian Government has made changes to the registration process for QR Codes. The QR Code Service is free to all Victorian businesses and helps contact tracers manage a potential COVID outbreak. |
