There are some FREE workshops and Webinars to attend this month for businesses looking to upskill and improve their digital presence.

The new 'Educate' section of the Maribyrnong Localised platform is here! 

Based on feedback from last year's Business Needs Survey, this new module has on-demand lessons targeted at some of our business community's most common pain points.  The short, sharp lessons gives business operators the opportunity to upskill or learn new techniques. Your host and mentor guiding you through the lessons is local marketing expert Aisla Page from AP Marketing Works.

Are you a licensed business or an interested business keen to hear about the legislation around Liquor Licensing?

Join Maribyrnong City Council and Victoria Police at the Maribyrnong Liquor Forum to understand legislative requirements for liquor licensees and the roles and responsibilities you have as a license holder.

Victoria Police will provide an overview of current trends, incidents and statistics and a representative from the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC) will also present their insights.

This forum will be a great opportunity to ask specific questions about your venue and what is needed to create a safe and enjoyable space for your patrons.

From 1 July 2022, you will need to pay super to your employees who earn less than $450 per month, provided they meet other eligibility requirements.

This change expands super guarantee eligibility so that employees can receive super regardless of how much they earn.

Introduction to Cyber Security for your business

Cyber123 for SMEs is a practical program designed by CyberCX to help small and medium enterprises develop a plan for cyber security in their organisation. From sole traders through to organisations with hundreds, this program is an accessible way to get better at cyber security.

 This one hour workshop will cover:

●       What does cyber security mean for an SME?

●       Understanding cyber security and your business

●       How to use the Cyber123 Canvas cyber security plan

●       How to assess and address your cyber risk

This workshop will include relevant practical examples and there will be time for questions and discussion at the end. Participants will receive the Cyber123 Canvas and Guidebook, as well as a login to the online course material.
