Small Business Growth Grants
The Small Business Growth Grants Program is offering $1 million in matched funding to help eligible WA small businesses access professional services to develop, grow and expand. The program is proudly administered by the Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC) on behalf of the WA Government.
You may be eligible for up to $10,000 in matched funding vouchers to use towards services including:
- Strategic business planning
- Workforce development and planning
- People management
- Marketing and communication planning
- Digital marketing
- Market research
- Financial planning and performance
- Procurement
- Organisational governance
- Work Health and Safety
- Business improvement and innovation

Helping Small Business Take the Digital Leap
Take control and boost your business with Digital Solutions, a government funded program that offers free and subsidised support to help business owners navigate and thrive in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
- Free Unlimited Workshops
Delivered in straightforward language these hands-on workshops will improve your digital knowledge, and help you adopt the right digital technology to transform your business. Check out upcoming workshops here.
- Digital Action Plan
Receive up to 4 hours of support, you will work one-on-one with a Digital Advisor to understand the unique digital needs of your business and identify how and where your business will benefit from adopting digital solutions. The subsidised cost of the one-on-one advisory service is $110 (inc GST).
To be eligible for this program businesses must have an active ABN and have less than 20 full-time employees.

Are you interested in community services, IT, health and care sectors, education support, childcare and business industry pathways?
Job seekers, local businesses, TAFE students, prospective students and employees in Armadale and surrounding areas are invited to attend. Chat with employers, business owners and local stakeholders about starting a career in these industries.
The Careers Expo will offer practical, relevant information on:
- Opportunities to explore local companies and service providers
- Networking with prospective employers
- Understanding employer and organisational values and expectations

The Byford Rail Extension and the remaining outer section of the Armadale Line will officially reopen for passenger services on Monday, 13 October 2025.
This exciting milestone marks a critical phase for the project with testing, commissioning and driver training now underway.
To celebrate the full reopening of the Armadale Line, METRONET are holding a community event on Sunday, 12 October 2025. Find out more about the event here
Community members around the City of Armadale are invited to submit an Expression of Interest to take part, in the form of any of the following:
- a market stall
- information stand
- an activation e.g. a craft activity, game, sausage sizzle (family- friendly activities preferred).
There is no fee to join this event, so if you would like to get involved, please complete the online Expression of Interest (EOI) form by 5pm Friday, 19 September 2025.
IMPORTANT: All organisations must meet local council public health event application requirements to participate.
Local Capability Fund 2025-26 Rounds Now Open!
The Local Capability Fund (LCF) helps small and medium-sized enterprises in Western Australia to increase their capability, capacity and competitiveness as suppliers of products, services and works to the Western Australian Government, major projects and other important markets.
The fund can be used for expenses such as:
- making improvements to internal infrastructure, plant and equipment
- training
- meeting pre-qualification requirements for supply-chain entry
- buying and upgrading essential equipment
- engaging consultants to advise on matters including occupational health and safety, marketing, finance and cybersecurity
- planning improvements to internal infrastructure, plant and equipment and training.
Supporting small businesses throughout the State, a $5 million boost is available with up to $50,000 offered to successful applicants.
Apply now via the SmartyGrants portal. All 2025-26 Local Capability Fund rounds close 3pm AWST, 4 September 2025. The Standard Compliance Round will close on 4 September 2025 or when funding is fully allocated.
