Did you know that over the 2022-23 financial year, nearly 94,000 cybercrimes were reported to the Australian Cyber Security Centre, an increase of 23 percent from the previous year. The average cost for small businesses per reported cybercrime was $46,000. Dealing with a cyber incident can cost businesses time and money, as well as considerable stress, so its important to be prepared and recover quickly after a cyber incident. Cyber security can be complex so that is why the Australian Government has launched the Small Business Cyber Resilience Service - a new initiative to support small businesses bolster their cyber security capabilities. The Small Business Cyber Resilience Service provides small businesses with free, personalised, expert advice to build their cyber resilience, as well as practical support to bounce back after a cyber incident. The service is staffed by trained cyber security advisers who understand small businesses.
