Small Business, Big Impact


Did you know that small business represents 98% of the City of Armadale's business mix?

Small business are the heart of what makes our local community great.

On October 2024, the City joined the statewide movement of celebrating Small Business Day and invited local small businesses to take part and to encourage our community to 'think small first'.

In addition to celebrating Small Business Day, the City of Armadale reinforced its commitment with the Small Business Development Corporation and many other Local Government organisations by joining the Small Business Friendly Local Government Alliance to actively support small business in the local area.

As part of the Small Business Friendly Local Government Alliance, the City is committed to supporting small businesses start, grow and thrive.

Empowering the Future:
EV Charging Now in Armadale

The City is excited to announce the installation of electric vehicle (EV) chargers at Armadale Fitness and Aquatic Centre and our City offices at 145 Jull Street. The charging bays will be available from early December 2024.

The installation of the EV chargers supports the City's commitment to sustainability, as captured in the Corporate Greenhouse Action Plan 2020/21-2029/30. It also aligns with the State and Federal Government's goal of achieving a net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

Charging your electric vehicle is easy: Download the ChargeHub app on your mobile device or tap your credit card to start charging. You can charge your vehicle for $0.35 per kWh. Please note that there is a 2-hour time limit for charging stations on all bays. Following a 10-minute grace period, overstay charges will escalate to $1 per minute.

This initiative was made possible through a collective local government application by the WA Local Government Association as part of the ARENA Future Fuels Grants Program.

A Call for Support - Hope 4 Change Inc

Help bring hope to those who need it most

Hope 4 Change Inc is a well established charity organisation in Seville Grove providing much needed food relief to the local community.

The charity was established for the Armadale and surrounding suburbs to get together, find support and resources in hard times.

To continue this important community service, Hope 4 Change is asking for your help:

  1. Location - do you have a business location/carpark in Armadale or a nearby suburb that Hope 4 Change can distribute food supplies to the local community from?
  2. Uniforms - would you like to sponsor some uniforms or shirts for the team at Hope 4 Change?

Your contribution and support will be acknowledged through the Hope 4 Change Facebook page, and your business logo will appear on the uniforms to show your support to the charity.
